Excellent! We are now looking for a Head of Group Function Legal Affairs (GFLA) Privacy, a key global management role that will set the strategic approach for Data Privacy for the Ericsson Group, as well as lead and advise on all areas of privacy matters across the Group.
The position is based in Kista/Stockholm, but you will be supporting the organization globally. You will work closely with other Ericsson legal counsels and with many other parts of the organization such as Data, Security, HR, IT, Business/Market units, Sourcing, Sales etc.
What you will do
- Lead the GFLA privacy team of highly skilled lawyers and compliance officers world wide
- Provide the strategic vision for, and continue the implementation of, an effective and efficient Privacy Framework to mitigate data privacy risks
- Partner with the Group Data Office in evolving the data culture & governance throughout the organization
- Be a strong and effective leader and partner with senior leaders across the Ericsson Group
- Partner with other leaders at Legal Affairs to ensure adequate privacy support to the business, including in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Recognize emerging privacy issues and trends and provide advice on topics such as data transfer and analytics, cloud, IoT, XaaS and new technologies
- Ensure appropriate oversight and work in partnership with wider assurance and corporate functions including for incidents, transformation and M&A
- Plan, oversee and advice on privacy impact assessments and monitor its performance
- Assess the level of compliance maturity and privacy-related risks including in the risk reporting process
- Monitor, track and assess the rapidly evolving landscape of privacy relevant laws and regulation, as well as industry approaches to privacy program management
- Coordinate with DPO’s (Data Protection Officers) on data protection law and practices
You will bring
- Master of Law or similar law degree
- Long working experience as a business lawyer with substantive data privacy and security experience
- Proven leadership and management experience
- Extensive knowledge of privacy regulations, industry standards, guideline and their implementation with a curiosity about data and cyber security
- Good business knowledge/understanding with a pragmatic, business-orientated approach
- Ability to communicate optimally and influence the highest levels of management and decision-making within the organization
- Experience negotiating, drafting, and updating privacy and security-related contract terms, notices, and other documentation
- A high level of integrity and strong analytical and communication skills
- Collaborative, team-player who initiates and inspires changes and is able to work across geographies and cultures, including liaising with government authorities and regulators
- Strong analytical, writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in English, second language desirable
- High level of Integrity
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
