Responsibilities:

Liaise with suppliers local and overseas samples, production schedule and capacity booking, delivery timing in an accurate and timely manner for all styles and seasons to meet launching date.- Work within the framework set out by the Head of Brand as to the trends, colours and designs planned for the forthcoming season.
- Design, sourcing, research, plan and develop merchandise for every season
- Arrange purchasing of fabrics for seasonal use
- Control costing to meet the planned retail price of the design
- Perform review for merchandise developed
- Constantly monitor brands’ merchandise performance
- Fluency in Mandarin is a must as the role requires candidate to deal with mandarin-speaking business partners.
- Manage the flow of samples coming in and out of the office
- To provide administrative support for the design & merchandising team
- Any other task as and when assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Fashion/Textile Design, Graphic Design or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Good negotiation and follow-up skills
- Ability to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin (incumbent is required to liaise with business partners in China).
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Able to operate MS Office applications, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
