We are a busy plaintiff-side litigation firm focused on personal injury trial work, class actions, and mass torts. We are seeking a paralegal to primarily help on our wildfire work on behalf of individuals who have lost their homes/businesses in utility-caused wildfires. The position will also have responsibility for ordering and tracking medical records requests for our personal injury cases. The position is partially in office, with the opportunity for at least some remote flexibility.
The right candidate must be flexible, organized, possess great communication and interpersonal skills, and be an extremely strong team player because of the nature of the practice and the functions of our tight-knit office. The right candidate will also be proactive, detail oriented, and excel at problem solving and taking initiative. The self-starter quality is particularly important to our firm.
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include significant communication with clients from all walks of life to get the necessary information to advance their case, litigation tracking and calendaring for attorneys, litigation duties including filing minor compromises and other pleadings as needed, assisting in compiling demand packages, occasional research assignments, and other tasks as requested by the attorneys and other team members.
