Seeking: Holistic Rescue Facility & Organic Farm Worker

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a proactive thinker, and have many diverse responsibilities. They will be expected to support the farm manager and owner in whatever capacity is needed at the time.
Responsibilities include:
- Feeding the animals on the farm
- Grooming and husbandry of animals
- Hands on animal care (both large and small animals) including documenting any changes in their health, along with daily health log upkeep for the farm manager
- Daily remedy and medicinal needs for all animals
- General upkeep of the barn and farm (keeping areas tidy)
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of stalls and paddocks
- Helping in hay season, planting, and harvesting. Includes receiving and stacking of hay
Experience that would also be beneficial:
Small and large animal care
Veterinary technician/assistant
Heavy machine skill sets (tractor, excavator, etc)
Wood cutting and splitting
Organic farming
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Working with a tractor (blowing snow, moving manure, cutting and baling hay)
Fence maintenance
The ideal candidate must be:
- A hard worker and understands that a career on a farm is a lifestyle that is not 9-5. Some weeks on the farm 2 days off in a row is not possible
- A team player
- Highly organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible when it comes to scheduling
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
- Ability to work under pressure and possess the flexibility and resiliency to switch gears in a moment’s notice, maintaining a professional and positive attitude
- Available for on call emergencies including but not limited to weather, sick team members, or sick animals, etc
Animal experience is a must. Successful applicant must be reliable, grounded, mature, happy, KIND, resilient, and willing to learn a completely holistic approach. Must be a non-smoker.

Salary: $31,000.00-$38,000.00 per year

- 8 - 10 hour shifts
- On call
- Weekends and evening required
